BLU WAVE™ hoods are made in the USA, using a high-quality custom order of Super-Soft, as our vendor calls it, and flexible neoprene for the main head area. This is the same comfortable neoprene we use to make our custom wetsuits which allows for different head shapes without head pressure. The Half Mask model is constructed with inner seal material along the neck and face. The neckline is angled downward towards the front for a better fit. There’s no forehead seam on the face seal, only at the chin area. The chin piece has been designed to fit and form to your chin with its width of only 2 inches. Not too wide, and not too short either. The jawline has a durable Gridprene insert for structural support to press the seal against your face. Seams are triple glued with drysuit adhesive and sealed together using a special process normally used in making commercial drysuits. Seams are then blind stitched, and bar tacked at stress points. All production of our hoods, except for the making of the neoprene material, is done here in the USA.
CARE & USE
To put on your hood, grab up onto the neoprene with both hands, not the seal material, and pull down over your head starting with the face first, then over your head. Rinse thoroughly after each use with clean fresh water. Air dry. Do not put in a washer or dryer. Store in an open dry place, free of animals or pests. Best to store in a stand-up position to avoid permanent creasing to the neoprene and seals. Do not store in sunlight. Excessive heat will damage the seams and the neoprene foam. Use only Food Grade silicone spray on the seals to protect and prevent cracking.
WARRANTY
Blu Wave™ hoods are warrantied for a period of 1 year after date of purchase. Warranty covers workmanship and labor. We will repair or replace at our discretion upon proof of purchase. Returns: You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging. Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase or identification so we may determine when it was purchased. If you purchased from a distributor, please contact them first, and ask them to contact us.
Refunds: Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
Shipping: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of original shipping will be deducted from your refund.
